Domains renew for a fixed term (usually a year). We renew automatically by default so you never accidentally lose a name, and we email you before each renewal.
Manage renewals
- 1Open My Domains and select the domain.
- 2Check the expiry date and the auto-renew toggle.
- 3Leave auto-renew on to renew automatically, or renew manually from Billing & Renewals at any time.
- Keep a working payment method or wallet balance so an auto-renewal can't fail (see: account wallet & credit).
- Losing a domain to expiry can mean losing it entirely once it drops — auto-renew is the safe default.
- Renewing a domain is non-refundable, since the registry fee is paid immediately.
