DNS records tell the internet where your domain's traffic should go. You manage them in the portal under My Domains → your domain → DNS.

Common records

  • A record — points a name (like @ or www) at an IPv4 address (your server).
  • AAAA record — same, for IPv6.
  • CNAME — aliases one name to another (e.g. www → your root domain).
  • MX — directs email to your mail provider.
  • TXT — verification and email security (SPF, DKIM, DMARC).

Point your domain at a server

  1. 1Copy your server's IPv4 address from My Servers.
  2. 2In DNS, add an A record: host @, value = your IP.
  3. 3Add a CNAME: host www, value = your domain.
  4. 4Save. Changes propagate within minutes (up to a few hours worldwide).
  • Lower the TTL before a planned change so it takes effect faster.
