How it works
- It's on by default when you register an eligible domain — nothing to buy or enable.
- Most registrars (GoDaddy, Namecheap and others) charge extra for this; we don't.
- A few TLDs require public registrant data by policy and can't be masked — that's a registry rule, not a paid upgrade.
One exception to know
- When transferring a domain away, you may need to temporarily disable privacy so the authorization-code email can reach you (see: transfer a domain).
